Persevering By Grace

This is going to be brief.  I am still in Florida with Campus Outreach’s Summer Beach Project.  I got a job at Grand Vista Bar & Grill at Emerald Grande at Harbor Walk Village.  I really like the job.  I go to Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church in Destin, Florida.  I really like the church.

The last day I can work while down here for Summer Beach Project is July 26th.  The last day of Summer Beach Project is July 31st.

The PGA Tour tournament is in Memphis, TN this week at TPC Southwind.  Today I heard some great news, a friend of mine qualified to play in the tournament.  Chris Rogers is his name; he will be teeing off at 8:39 a.m. tomorrow morning.  He will be playing with Michael Letzig and Travis Perkins.  I hope he plays great.

I’m in a coffee shop right now called, MASS COFFEE ROASTERS in FWB.  I arrived in FWB this past Sunday (May 18th, 2008).  I’m down here for the Summer Beach Project; this is put on by Campus Outreach.  I’m so glad to be here.  The disciples were scheduled to arrive this past Wednesday (May 21st, 2008); not all of them have arrived, unless they’ve gotten here since I’ve last heard.  Thursday May 22nd Cliff (one of the disciples in my group), Judson, and me went out looking for a job.  As of now the three of us are jobless!  One of the places we went for a job was Target in Destin, FL, the three of us completed the application at Target; after each of us had completed the application we had an interview.  I had another interview yesterday at Target and am supposed to be getting a call about another one sometime.  Cliff and Judson have there second interview Monday (May 26th, 2008).  The three of us have also heard back from Holiday Inn Sunspree; so this is a possibility too.  I missed there call, but they left a voicemail; I plan on calling them back; today or tomorrow.

• that everyone who doesn’t have a job yet will have one by some point next week
• for everyone who is a part of Summer Beach Project - One
• for the Campus Outreach team that is in Australia

On Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008,  my roomate and me went to Golden Central Baptist Church; we have a friend who is the student pastor at the church.  It was a great service. 

I have several family members that go to Golden Central Baptist Church (I’m not even sure how many).  My aunt Teresa and two of my cousins, Sloane and Bailey, were at the youth service; it was great to see and talk to them.  I love them so much, but I don’t see them very often.    

After the service several of us went to eat (the restaurant was called like Mr. J’s Pizza’s and Steak’s or something like that).  Bailey came so we got to hang out a little more too.  I had talked to my Memaw on the phone earlier in the day and let her know I was coming; I called her while we were on the way to the restaurant and she came in after we got there. 

If Brother Shannon or any of the students that were at the service or the pizza place see this post I thank yaw all for your kindness.  I really enjoyed spending time with yaw and look forward to coming back.
